Program Overview

Mission: Rebuild body, mind, and Selph

Selph Builders is an intensive 30-day residential program providing workforce development, life skills training, and comprehensive support for formerly incarcerated individuals and those experiencing homelessness. Our four-track system individualizes support based on your needs while ensuring everyone graduates with employment and a pathway to stable housing.

One Program, Four Pathways

We meet you where you are with the right level of support. All tracks lead to the same destination: graduation, employment, and housing stability.

Track 1

Ready Track

"I need accountability, not intensive support"

Who This Is For:

  • Minimal substance use or stable recovery
  • Recent employment history
  • Strong life skills
  • High motivation and clear goals

Support Level:

Low intensity, high accountability

  • Weekly case management
  • Minimum 2 workshops/week (you choose)
  • Self-directed schedule with check-ins

Employment:

Week 3: Begin part-time work (4-6 hours/day)

Housing Transition:

Rapid: Move to apartments within 0-7 days after graduation

Track 2

Building Track

"I need guidance and structure to succeed"

Who This Is For:

  • Some substance use history, working toward stability
  • Gaps in employment but can work with support
  • Manageable mental health needs
  • Motivated but needs structure

Support Level:

Moderate intensity, structured support

  • Bi-weekly case management
  • 3 required workshops/week (you choose which)
  • Required morning meetings

Employment:

Week 3: Begin part-time work or intensive job search

Housing Transition:

Standard: Move to apartments within 14-30 days after graduation

Track 3

Strengthening Track

"I need intensive daily support and structure"

Who This Is For:

  • Active recovery from substance use
  • Significant mental health needs
  • Limited employment history
  • Chronic homelessness (6+ months)

Support Level:

High intensity, therapeutic focus

  • Weekly case management (may increase)
  • ALL daily programming required
  • Highly structured schedule

Employment:

Week 3: May begin work OR continue preparation (when ready)

Housing Transition:

Supported: Move to apartments within 30-60 days with wraparound support

Track 4

Restoring Track

"I need clinical support and stabilization"

Who This Is For:

  • Severe substance use disorder or early recovery
  • Active mental health symptoms needing oversight
  • Just released from incarceration (within 1 week)
  • Long-term homelessness (2+ years)

Support Level:

Intensive clinical, full structure

  • DAILY case management check-ins
  • ALL programming required with clinical staff
  • Every hour structured
  • Clinical team coordination

Employment:

Week 3: Assessment (employment may start post-graduation)

Housing Transition:

Intensive: Move to apartments within 60-90+ days with clinical support

Note: Stabilization IS success—employment and housing follow when you're ready

Track Philosophy

  • Tracks are based on support needs, not capability or worth
  • All tracks lead to the same outcomes: graduation, employment, housing
  • You can move between tracks as your needs change
  • Track assignment happens during intake through objective screening

What We Provide (All Tracks)

🏠 Basic Needs

Housing, three meals daily, clothing, hygiene products, laundry, transportation assistance

📋 Case Management

Individualized service plans, goal tracking, resource coordination, advocacy support

⚕️ Medical & Mental Health

Healthcare coordination, mental health counseling, medication management, substance abuse support

💼 Workforce Development

Job training, certifications, resume building, interview prep, employer partnerships

📚 Life Skills Training

Financial literacy, budgeting, cooking, household management, communication skills

💭 Therapeutic Programming

Group therapy, trauma healing, anger management, conflict resolution, mindfulness
